lst March, 1934.
My own little darling
I hope you had a comfortable journey yesterday, and caught the Bicester slip all right. I had a very good journey from Glasgow, and am now sitting down to a laborious day.

I got a lot of letters done at the Club yesterday morning, and had a delightful lunch at Whitehouse. Brian and Alice and I walked in the afternoon down to the sea, and home by Cramond House grounds. Then Alice came with me to the station. I think that pair are extraordinarily happy.
The Minister's jubilee was rather a touching business - an enormous audience; I think I spoke pretty well. Gran and Nan were there, and we afterwards had supper at the hotel.
The Purse Bearer is dining with me tonight. Remind Webb that I come back at 10.10 tomorrow morning.
Much love.
