St. Stephen's House, London, S.W.1.
7th March, 1934
My own little darling
I hope you got safely home last night, and that we had the fine rain at Elsfield. I liked the luncheon party at No. 10.
All afternoon yesterday was taken up by the Reuter meetings, and then I had a Scots Committee. I dined with Roderick and my fellow Directors of the P.A., and had a most interesting talk.
This morning I have been round the Park with the P.M. and had an hour with him after breakfast. I am still very doubtful how much good I can do. But we will discuss it in the week-end.
I am just off to see Clive Wigram at the Palace, and then I have a long afternoon of appointments.
It is bright and cold this morning, and I fear the rain has gone.
Much love.
from John
Remind old William for me to plug at his History and special books. The time draws near, and it is simply a matter of hard work.
