Dear Col. Buchan,
When re-reading your "Massacre of Glencoe" last week, I noticed that in the piping tunes played in Glencoe in 1692 you include MacCruimen's Lament. I rather think that tune was composed in 1746. Donald Bàn [McCruimein] on leaving Dunvegan for the '45 expressed a presentiment

that he would no return and strangely enough he was the only casualty at the Rout of Moy.
In a book so carefully documented I am jealous of the author's reputation and if another edition comes along, perhaps you will look into this little point.
