NEVERTHELESS, things are sufficiently tangled to make it nearly a duty for honest men to try to find out what, if anything, they are agreed on/ for example I wd. like to draw you as to WHICH of Doug's premises you grant.

France is getting what she deserved/ BUT ought to serve as warning. I mean WHEN the press gets as rotten as we know the French was# (and as part of the British Press most certainly NOW IS....)
there remains no honest parliament, I mean in the general sense, of consultation between the intelligent members of the nation (whether elected or private).
