My own darling

Will you fill up the enclosed form for the "Woman's
Who's Who".

I got your letter this morning. You seem to be very
busy. I do hope old William is not depressed about his exams. I
understand that John arrives at Elsfield with Alice tonight.
Gran seems to have greatly enjoyed his visit.

Mrs. Keppel is in bed and could not come to luncheon
yesterday, but we had a very pleasant company, including Walter
Elliot , Felix Cassel, the Chatfields, etc. The Steel-Maitland's
dinner was one of the best I have ever eaten, and quite a pleasant
gathering. I greatly liked Vincent Baddeley's wife.

The walk round the park this morning was beautiful, and
Maurice Hankey joined us. Today I am lunching with the Drapers'
Company.

Remind Webb that I come back tomorrow by the early 10.12
train. I am enormously looking forward to seeing the play in the
evening.

I cannot yet get an answer out of Duglo, who is lost
somewhere in Switzerland.

Johnnie's letter amused me. Biggar Water is doubly consecrated
by the immersion of Buster! [ST: a dog]
