St. Stephen's House, London, S.W.1.

28th March , 1934.

My own darling

I got your letter this morning. I rang up Tin and have arranged to lunch with her at half past one tomorrow. Will you tell Webb to be at St. Stephen's Club at 1.15 to take me and my luggage there. We will be down at Elsfield by tea-time. Mr. Lysaght is coming to tea at 4.30.

I talked to Peter Davies yesterday about Alice's book. Both he and his partner greatly admire it, but it is an out-size book, and it is very difficult to decide upon the right form of publication. I am going to have a talk with him next week about it.

I had an interesting luncheon yesterday with the German Ambassador, Princess Bismarck and various German airmen. We had a dull Scottish debate all evening. Noel is getting a woollier speaker every day.

Today I am lunching on Pilgrim Trust business, and then have a Governors' meeting at the Film Institute.

It is bright spring weather but rather colder.

No word yet from Douglo. I wrote to his mother yesterday.

Much love.
