St. Stephen's House, S.W.1.
11th April, 1934.
My own darling
I got your letter this morning, and your telegram saying that Billie had arrived safely, which was a great relief.
I am very sorry to hear about Rosalind, and Johnnie Jameson's boy. I will ring up when I get to Edinburgh and make enquiries.
The elder Fairfax-Lucys can come to Holyrood to dine and sleep on Tuesday the 22nd May.
Oliver Stanley was very good in introducing his Road Traffic Bill yesterday. I had a long talk with Jock MacEwen. I dined at The Club and talked chiefly to Lord Sumner, Dunedin, and Edward Halifax. It was a very pleasant dinner.
Today we have a long Pilgrim Trust meeting , and then I catch the eleven o'clock train. I shall send you a line tomorrow from Edinburgh. My address will be the New Club. I go to Peebles by the late afternoon train. Remind Webb that I hope to catch the 6.5 on Friday evening, but that the car had better wait, if I miss it, until 8.30.
I hope Nan has a good journey today.
Much love.
