St. Stephen's House, s. w. 1.

13th November, 1934.

I do hope you are better this morning and that you kept the Little Man with you.

The Geographical dinner was very pleasant. I had an interesting talk with Francis Rodd, who is now a partner in Morgan Grenfells. He is corning to lunch with me on Thursday to talk about America. There were all kinds of old friends there, chiefly soldiers. Wilfrid Thesiger was delightfully shy in his address, but very good, and he had some really wonderful photographs.

This morning I have been walking and breakfasting with the P.M. I think he has got more confidence, and I am not quite so nervous about Southampton this afternoon. He is to have another tooth out tomorrow.

Circe, having carried off Margaret to Ireland, is flying back tomorrow.

You ought to have fine weather in Oxfordshire, for this fog is not going to last. I do hope I shall get good news of you to-night. Much love.

John
