St. Stephen's House, London, S.W.1.

20th March, 1935.

My own darling

Will you make luncheon at the Savoy tomorrow 1.15 instead of one o'clock, as I have an appointment at 12.45. I am greatly looking forward to seeing you.

This is a most delicious day, and I had a pleasant walk this morning. I have just been to Plesch, who is having me every day just now, as he is determined to get me fat.

I talked to Baldwin and Ramsay yesterday about Canada. They knew nothing about it, for of course the business is entirely in the King's hands. Baldwin was rather inclined to urge me to go, but both of them reserve their judgment until they have thought it over.

I am dining with Aunt Mamie tonight. I may be able to see Tin tomorrow evening - possibly dine with her. I won't be back until the first train on Saturday, as I have the big Teachers' dinner at the Savoy on Friday night.

I do hope old William is getting on well with his exams.

Much love. from John
