[Malcolm Macdonald]
Downing Street, 7th May, 1936.
Dear Tweedsmuir,
Thank you very much for your letter of the 25th April about Major Ney. I fully appreciate the importance of the work which he is doing and will certainly arrange to see him while he is in England.
I hope that you have by now quite settled down in Canada. We are meeting great difficulties in the field of international affairs, and I am watching as closely as I can the reaction of the various Dominion opinions to the situation. We must maintain co-operation within the Commonwealth of Nations.
With kindest regards Yours sincerely Malcolm Macdonald
The Lord Tweedsmuir , G.C.M.G., C.H.
