Mrs. Spooner called here last week. She was motoring from London to Oxford. She is really wonderful. Just as clear as ever, mentally, but a little slow in her movements.

Professor Butler came came down to lunch one day. His family were all scattered, but were to meet for a holiday in All Stretton.

John has been very busy with an index for his new volume, but it is now finished & he is having a holiday from literature.
