THE JEWISH AGENCY FOR PALESTINE.

Telephone: Museum 3817 (4 Lines). Telegrams: "Zioniburo, London." Codes: Bentley's and Mosse's

77, Great Russell Street, London, W.C.1.

In reply address the Secretary: and quote the following Reference No.

28th March, 1935.

Colonel John Buchan, C.H., M.P., St. Stephen's House, Westminster, S.W.1.

Dear Colonel Buchan,

I hope I may offer you my very sincere congratulations and good wishes on your Canadian appointment. Canada will, I know, have every reason to congratulate itself on the person of its new Governor-General. To us Zionists, I need hardly say that your departure from London will come as a personal loss, and we shall miss very greatly your deep understanding of our cause, and your ready help and advice in the House.

May I, in wishing you on behalf of my Executive every success and happiness in the important work which you are undertaking, express the hope that you will not entirely lose touch with matters Palestinian; perhaps when your steps are turned Eastwards again, you may yet give us the pleasure of welcoming you in that minute, but most fascinating, land.

With all good wishes, I am Yours sincerely, [signature] Arthur Lourie. Arthur Lourie.
