Your friends - their number is legion - are so pleased & I especially. "Your blushing honours thick upon you" as William says. There seems no limit to them & why should there be?
Glasgow University and the Borders are particularly gratified.

of your Galloway adventures. But it is the wrong way round unfortunately.
At any rate all your old Glasgow & Oxford friends watch with pleasure and admiration. We shall look for the great novel on Canadian life.
Do not trouble to reply to this. Your post bag will be gargantuan or brobdignagian or astronomical or what else the journalists can devise for magnitude.
