37, ALBYN PLACE, ABERDEEN.

29th March, 1935.

Dear Mr. Buchan,

Allow me to offer my congratulations upon the high honour conferred upon you as Governor General of Canada.

As Chairman of the Aberdeen University Unionist Association for twenty nine years I have had a very good opportunity of realising the splendid work which you did as representative of the Scottish Universities in Parliament during the last eight years.

It will be very difficult to find one so efficient as yourself to take your place.

With every good wish for your happiness and success, and with kindest regards.

I am,

Yours sincerely, R.W. Reid

John Buchan, Esq, M.P., LL.D. St. Stephen's House London, S.W.1.
