Ap. 7. 1935.

Dear John

Thank you very much for
your kind thought in sending
me The King's Grace. I have
read it at a sitting, with
the same delight I always
find in your historical works.
It could not be better done.
It is just to all, yet properly
severe at times. It's the truth
about things too, not least
about the King and Kingship.
I fear your new duty will be
in many respects a severe
sacrifice to you and to Susie.
But she's a noble woman
and will bear the greatness
thrust upon her nobly.

Yours ever

George Trevelyan
