St. Stephen's House, London, S. W. 1.
10th April, 1935.
My own little darling
I thought I had told you I could dine with the ViceChancellor on May 2nd.
I had a very interesting luncheon yesterday with Alexander Grant. He is quite crazy about my King's Grace. I dined at The Club and talked to Salisbury and Wilfrid Greene.
I am still like the mouse in a snowstorm with letters, but I am getting some of the worst snowdrifts off my shoulders.
To-night I am dining with your Mother.
We meet at the Speaker's House at 1.15 tomorrow. I do not know what train you and my family go back by, but I shall not arrive at Oxford until 8.30.
I do hope the weather mends for our walking tour.
Windsor next Wednesday should be rather fun. We can motor there and leave Webb. I hope you are not too tired.
Much love. from John
