One assumed you would always be there.

And frankly I am sorry you are going: but I do wish they would make an exception in your case & let you come back again some day. For it is the presence of the rare man like yourself that occasionally makes one draw a deep breath in the House of Commons and say "We are really somebody here old fellow". Honour to the Government for having the good sense to honour itself & the nation by your appointment. I could almost forgive the National Gov. its sins
