I got your beloved letter this morning. I am very distressed at the accident about the snapshot. But never mind, wee body. When you come to Canada in May you and I will be constantly photographed together!

The Canadian Election results are amazing. It will be much more comfortable for me to have an old friend as P.M, and a Government with a big majority. The danger of a constitutional crisis is out of the way. I gather that Bennett will meet me,
and that I shall have to swear in Mackenzie King later.
We had the Red Cross people at luncheon yesterday. Alastair took back his beagles to Eton, and the pony was safely delivered at Windsor. To day I have my last clearing up. Susie comes back from Westwell before luncheon. We go to
