30th January, 1936.

Edward Shackleton, Esq. Hampton Court Palace, Middlesex.

My dear Eddie , I was very glad to get your letter of 17th January. I will do what I can about Mr. Bentham. I had the pleasure of seeing Sergeant Stallworthy the other day. He is now married and about to settle at Winnipeg. I am greatly impressed by t he R.C.M.P. , and particularly by Sir James MacBrien.

This year I have to make a lot of "duty" visits, but next year I hope to get up to Aklavik, and perhaps another year see some of the Northern islands.

Yours ever,
