10 Chelsea Place, Simpson Street, Montreal.
Your Excellency-
You will recall, when we were lunching with you recently, that mention was made of the power of our Dominion Legislature to deal with the appeal "of grace" to the Judicial Committee in respect of civil matters, having in view the advice tendered by their Lordship to His Majesty in the British Coal Corporation case.
Mr. P.B. Migrault sent me a few days ago the enclosed copies of papers prepared by him for the Royal Society of Canada & if you have not had an opportunity of reading these records, they may be of some interest to you.
As you know the author

has dealt frequently with the effect of the Statute of Westminister (1931) upon the Political and Legislative status of the Dominion. The conclusions are of national importance and the authorities of the hand which wrote them worthy of great consideration.
It was a great privilege to be your guest at luncheon at your home in Canada and my wife, & niece & self are gratly indebted to you.
With our sincerest regards I remain Your Excellency's obedient servant
