LAURIER HOUSE, OTTAWA.
Christmas Eve 1936.
My dear J.B.
This is just a line to let you know that you are in my thoughts this Christmas eve, and to send to you my best of wishes for the Day.
I sent a cable to Lady Tweedsmuir this morning, and am sending one to Mrs Buchan tonight. May I look to you to give my best of wishes to your boys. Though your family circle touches the world at many points,

you must no doubt all be in close touch with one another at this season which I hope for all will be a very happy and memorable one.
Once again please accept the photograph I am sending, with every good wish. In years to come, may it be a reminder of the Christmas we sought, single-handed, to uphold between us the honours of the Crown and the people at Government House and Laurier House respectively.
Yours as ever,
Rex.
