My very dear B.B.

I have just arrived here and found
your delightful letter and book. I remained
reading it for hours in bed. What a very
wonderful man you are. How do you
do all you do and so very beautifully
too, Thank you ever so much for
letting me be one of the first to have
it. As soon as I see you again you
must write in it.

I am in the midst of the toils of the
last moments before the reception. To-morrow
