{R.A. FALCONER}
81 GLENGOWAN ROAD LAWRENCE PARK, TORONTO Octr. 27. 1937
Dear Lord Tweedsmuir:
Your "Augustus" has just come. I am deeply grateful to you for having sent me a copy, enhanced with the two inscriptions in your own hand. It is a beautiful Volume, and I will begin forthwith to read it, with, I need not assure you, anticipations of great pleasure. After I have read it carefully I will write you again.
I marvel at what you have accomplished. Your intellectual creations add unique distinction to your most original and effective methods of fulfilling the duties of your office.

Already you have made for yourself a quite remarkable position in the long line of distinguished governors-general. May you have the best of health for the many days which I am glad to think still remain for you & Lady Tweedsmuir in Canada.
With kind regards & much respect in which I should like to include her Excellency.
I am Yours sincerely Robt A Falconer
His Excellency Lord Tweedsmuir Government House Ottawa
