Sir

I have the honor to
request that you will state to
His Excellency the Governor, of
Queensland that I am desirous of
an appointment , as draftsman in
in (sic) the Surveyor Generals office at
Brisbane.

I have been employed in the
Survey Office at Sydney for upwards
of a year, and have had an opportunity
of aquiring much much useful
local information and experience,
and of the circumstances of
which, I enclose a certificate from
the Acting Surveyor General.

- I also enclose a certificate
of competency from Mr. Ligar
the present Surveyor General
of Victoria, under whom I served
for some years.
