{In list to Council. [initials] GFB} I am directed to forward to you a List of Surveying Instruments in the Colony {[diagonal line, pointing downward] /} of Queensland at the date of separation, with a suggested valuation in cases where the present state of them are [sic] known, and I am to invite you to cause measures to be taken for the Valuation by the Surveyor General of Queensland of the Instruments in question, with a view to their transfer by purchase to the Government of that Colony
