Summary: Widow, Eliza Grady and Thaddeus were residents of Montgomery County, Tennessee, with one child by the name of David Grady (1858). They were married in Todd County, Kentucky in the home of Benjamin Grady. Their son David died in 1868. Thaddeus also has a brother named James Grady (Redmond) that served in the same Regiment but different Company. Their father "Redmond" was a free man during slavery times. Thaddeus died of Small Pox. Deposition from Eliza Grady on pages 17, 22 & 23 and James Redmond on pages 11 & 12.

Summary: Eliza Grady, resident of Montgomery, Tennessee, is the widow of Thaddeus Grady, a private in Company E 16th Regiment USCT infantry. The Adjutant General reports he mustered in 8 April 1864, and died in the General Hospital No. 16 in Nashville, Tennessee on 10 May 1864 of Small Pox. The Surgeon General reports he was admitted to the Hospital of Nashville on 25 April 1864 with Small Pox and he died there of the same disease on 10 May 1864. Their marriage was proven by an eye witness and took place 10 August 1856. They have one son under the age of sixteen, named David, born 7 October 1858, and he died 25 January 1868. His date of death was proved by two witnesses. A certificate for $8 per month commencing 11 May 1864 and $2 per month commencing 25 July 1866 with the increase ending 25 January 1868.

Summary: Eliza Grady, aged 29 years old, is the widow of Thaddeus Grady, a Private in Company E commanded by Captain Jon Gordon in the Regiment 16. Her maiden name was Eliza Grady and she married Thaddeus Grady on 10 August 1856 at the home of Benjamin Grady in Todd County, Kentucky by Major Cross a prophet minister. Amy Redmond and Millia Redmond were witnesses at the wedding and also the birth of her son David, born 7 October 1858. Thaddeus died 10 May 1864 of Pneumonia in Nashville, Tennessee.
