Summary: Widow, Elizabeth Whetlock Edwards. Gustavus and Elizabeth were residents of Green County and had no children together. Elizabeth was the slave of William Whetlock and Gustavus was the slave of David Edwards. Served in the 100th USCI, Co. B. Died at Nashville, Tennessee on December 15th, 1864. Previously enslaved by D.W. Edwards, enlisted without his consent per CSMR. Affidavit on page 10 for Mike Edwards and George Edwards.
