Summary: Elizabeth Flowers is the widow of George Flowers, and her maiden name was Grady. George was a private in Company D 109th Regiment USCT infantry. They married 1 November 1863 at the residence of Thomas L. Grady in the county of Adair. Their marriage was performed by Reverend William Wilson. Elizabeth declares her husband died in Perryville, Kentucky on 13 August 1865 due to sunstroke. Elizabeth and George had no children. Records indicate that George died at the Ashland General Hospital of Typhoid Fever on 10 August 1864. Deposition from James W. Nelson and Thomas L. Grady on pages 12-13.

Summary: Elizabeth Flowers is a resident of Adair County, Kentucky. Adjutant General reports stated the soldier was drafted at Lebanon, Kentucky and mustered into Service 19 May 1864 and died in the hospital at Ackland, Kentucky 10 August 1864 of Typhoid Fever. Elizabeth and George were married 1 November 1863 and they had no children. Document shows the pension was admitted 23 March 1869 and a pension of $8 per month would commence 11 August 1864.

Elizabeth states she had no children with said husband.
