Summary: Pensioner was Jerry’s Widow, Lucy (Quinn) Goodwin, who lived in Larue County, Kentucky, at the time of filing. Jerry served in the Company B 123rd USCI and died in New Albany, Indiana, during January of 1865 from Typhoid Fever. Jerry and Lucy had the following children, which were older than sixteen years of age and did not qualify for a pension: Albert (28 years old in 1869), Howard (23 years old in 1869) and Green and William Harrison, who were already deceased. No depositions in this file.

Summary: Lucy Quinn, a resident of Hodgenville, Larue, Kentucky, is the widow of Jerry Goodwin, a Private in Company B 123rd Regiment USCI. The Adjutant General reports he enrolled 14 July 1864 and died at the Floating Hospital in New Albany, Indiana on 14 January 1865 of Typhoid Fever. The Surgeon General's office reports he was admitted to the Floating Hospital (Ohio) at New Albany, Indiana on 5 January 1865 for treatment of Typhoid Fever and he died of the disease on 14 January 1865. Marriage was proven by the testimony of witnesses who claim that Jerry Goodwin and Lucy (Quinn) Goodwin were married on 15 May 1835. They had no children under sixteen years of age. The document was admitted on 17 August 1869 to a pension of $8 per month commencing on 15 January 1865.

Summary: Lucy Goodwin, aged 54 years old and a resident of Larue, Kentucky, states she is the widow of Jerry Goodwin, a Private in Company B commanded by Captain Bailey, in the 123rd Regiment commanded by Colonel Porter of the USCI. He died while in New Albany, Indiana on 14 January 1865 from the disease of Small Pox, which was reported to her. She declares she married Jerry Goodwin in Larue County on 15 May 1835 and her maiden name was Quinn. She states she lives a mile and a half from Hodgenville, Kentucky. She states that all of their children were over sixteen years of age when her husband died. Witnesses Laura Martin and Mariah Martin witnesses Lucy make her mark and they also made their mark.
