Summary: Lexington Kentucky Pension Agency states that Mariah Williams is the widow of Mason Williams, who served as a Private in Company A 117th Regiment USCT. Pension rate of $8 per month commencing on 15 January 1865, indicates the soldier died the day before. An additional $2 per month per child commenced on 25 July 1866. The following children are listed on this file with the date being the day the pension would end because they turned sixteen years of age the day before. Harriet (17 July 1875), Sanford (15 February 1877), Allis ( 24 December 1878), and Mason (4 February 1881). The certificate is dated 21 December 1868.
