standing & being in certain usuage or tenement sit--
uated in the county & state aforesaid and now in
the occupation of the said J. Hemphill. To have
and to hold all and singular the said goods, stuff
and furniture and other the premises above bargained
and sold to the said Gibson, his heirs, exc., admn,
& assigns forever. And I the said Hemphill for my
self, my heirs, [ort.] all and singular the said goods
and chattels unto the said Gibson his heirs etc.
I do warrant and defend by these presents of all
and singular which said goods I the said Hemphill
have put the said Gibson in full possession by
delivering to him the said Gibson a bed & furniture
at the sealing & delivering of these presents in the
name of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold unto the
same Gibson as aforesaid. In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this 4th January 1821.

Know all men by these presents that we Wiley Pope of Clark
County and Anderson White of Oglethorpe County both
of the State of Georgia for divers causes and consid--
eration hereunto moving by these presents do make
ordain, constitute & appoint Benjamin Davis and
John F. Taylor of Shelby County, State of Alabama
our true and lawful attorney for us and in our names and
for our use and benefit to take charge, manage & direct
& dispose of that deed of trust of Elizabeth Wiley and to act concerning the same, in all lawful ways & means as
fully and in every respect, as we ourselves could or would
do were we personally present, the management there--
of, and authorize one or more under them for the purpose
aforesaid to make and enquire at their pleasure, make
ratifying, and confirming and by these presents allowing
whatsoever our said attorneys shall in our name lawfully
do or cause to be done in and about trust by
these presents. In witness whereof we have hereunto
set our hands and seals this 2nd January in the year 1821

Know all men by these presents that I Martin Kidd
have this day bargained & sold unto Thos. M. Hawkins
for the consideration of $180 to me in hand paid
six cows & calves, forty head of hogs, three feather
beds to be his lawful right this 20th day of Feby. 1821.
