To the Sheriff of said County Greeting
You are hereby commanded to Summon
twelve good and lawful Jurors two thirds
of whom Shall be Slave holders to be
and appear in the Probate Court of said
County at the Court House thereof on the
first day of May next to Serve as Jurors
On the trial of the Case of the State of
Alabama v. Crawford a Slave Charged
With Larceny. fail not and make due
and legal return of this Venire as required
by law fail not Witness &c - this 8th
