The State of Alabama: To any Sheriff of the State of Alabama--- GREETING: You are hereby commanded, without delay, ot take Benjamin F Dumas if found to be in your county, and him safely keep, so that you have his body before the Honorable the Judge of the Circuit Court, at a court to be holden for the county of Shelby on the second Monday in September next then and there to answer the State of Alabama, on a bill of indicment pendign in said court against him for trading with John a slave the property of Abraham R Gooch without lawfull leave and have you then and there this writ, with your endorsement thereon.
