In Circuit Court
September Term 1855
The Grand Jury of said County charge
that Jacob Freeze being the master of a
slave named Isaac did inflict cruel
punishment on said slave, against the
peace and dignity of the State of
Alabama

And the Grand Jury of said County further
charge that the said Jacob Freeze being the
master or person standing in that relation
towards a slave named Isaac did treat
said slave with inhumanity, against the
peace and dignity of the State of
Alabama.

And the Grand Jury of said County
further charge that the said Jacob Freeze
being the master of a slave named Isaac
did allow another to inflict cruel
punishment on said slave, against the peace
and dignity of the State of Alabama.

And the Grand Jury of said County
further charge that the said Jacob Freeze
being the master or person standing in that
relation towards a slave named Isaac
did inflict on said slave cruel punishment
or did fail to provide said slave with a
sufficiency of healthy food, or necessary clothing
against the peace and dignity of the
State of Alabama
