The State of Alabama
Shelby County Js } be it remembered that on
this the 24th daysof August A.D. 1850 before me
James m. Finley personally came William Jolly
& John M. McCormic who acknowledged themselves
severally to owe & be indepted to Henry W
Collier Governor of the for the time being
& his sucessors in the sum of one hundred
dollars to be levied of their respective goods &
chattels land & tenements to be void on
condition that the said William Jolly make
his personal appearance at the next term
of the circuit court to be holdin on the
last monday in August Instant then &
there to answer the State of Alabama of a
charge of illigally trading with a certain
slave and continue from day to day at said
term & from term to term thereafter until
legally discharged & otherwise to be in full
force
