The State of Alabama In Circuit Court
Shelby County at March Term 1854

The Grand Jury of said County charge that before the
finding of this indictment John Large did sell, give,
or deliver to a slave named Henry the property
of Daniel E Watsons vinous or spirituous liquor
without an order in writing signed by the overseer
or master of such slave specifying the quantity
to be sold, given, or delivered, against the peace
& dignity of the State of Alabama.

And the Grand Jury of said County further
charge that before the finding of this indictment the
said John Large did sell, give, or deliver to
a slave named Charles belonging to George
Allen
vinous or spirituous liquor without an
order in writing signed by the overseer or master
of such slave specifying the quantity to be sold
given or delivered, against the peace and
dignity of the State of Alabama. Wm Mudd
