The State of Alabama Circuit Court Shelby County Fall Term 1886

The Grand Jury of said county charge that before the finding of this Indictment Lewis a negro man slave supposed to be the property of W^m Elmner Sterrett unlawfully and with malice of forethought did assault Charles Seale with the intent to mur der him against the peace and dignity of the State of Alabama.
