The Grand Jury for said county
charge that before the finding of this
indictment that Robert Rushing and
William Moss did sell give or deliver to certain
slaves named Henry, Tom and Joe belonging to Md
McClanahan and to certain slaves named Harry, Harper, and Nash the
property of Geo D Shortridge various and spirituous liquors without
an order in writing signed by the overseer or master of each slaves, specifying the quantity
to be sold given or delivered
against the peace & dignity of the
state of Alabama:
