Your kind communication of the 5th ult. inviting me to be present at the laying of the corner-stone of the University of the South came to hand in good time. I am just now able to say that God willing, I know of nothing to prevent my attending on that interesting occasion. I expect to be accompanied by my friend Judge Baker.
