Leonidas Polk, D. D., Missionary Bishop of Arkansas,
agreeably to the provisions of the 3d Canon of the General

to accept the same

Resolved, That the Standing Committee be requested to
transmit the foregoing Resolution to the Rt. Rev. Bishop

churches in Louisiana to be admitted into union with the
Church; and that by a resolution of the General Convention,
Louisiana had been constituted an independent Diocese,
in union with the General Convention of the Protestant
Episcopal Church in the United States of America.
