contrary it gives me great pleasure to think he will be with you, & I have this day written to Dr. Wainwright who has now charge of the School during Dr. Mecklenberg's absence to that effect. I have also written to Hamilton. I think though of this I am not certain that the vacation commences about the 1st July.
Will you give my best love to Susan & tell her I would like to hear from her in my loneliness. I head from Fanny at Memphis & the Mouth of the Ohio all well.
We have delightful weather here the nights so cool as often to make a blanket necessary for comfort & in the day a pleasant breeze.
My family composed of William my people & myself are all well.

I shall go to Lexington I hope about the 1st July. I do believe if I were to live by myself I should get to be grandpa over again.
