My dear Bishop,

A few days since I wrote you a letter of some length which may go astray, or be delayed and make a consideration of my propositions too late. To prevent which I have thought it well to repeat to you the tenor of that communication my inquiries respecting the University of the South.

The letter contained the first two pages of a document I am at my leisure sketching of plans, propositions, views &c &c all to be submitted to you at an early day write to me please whether I am too late, and also if you will be pleased to hear from me on the above subject.
