On par [he?] was quite [plain?] & wasn't approved in his advice. (I suppose you know his reason, Nancy) We shall find some secluded country town when you're my blushing? bride, and will begin life anew. I have heard dozens of beautiful names that we could call our baby, pet. These don't quite fit but it's a good sample:- Asiani (Ar-seeah-me), Rama Dairi, Lohia (Lo-hea) Morea (Moh-ria) & Loa. That baby is my ambition, so long as it resembles you. Still there will be plenty of time to discuss it more fully - say before we fall off to sleep in each others arms. Don't go letting your Dad get too fond of you - He won't want to give you up when I put in my claim. I hope for your dear sake that your Xmas leave is granted, and I'm sorry I can't make it as I wished. Tell your cousin not to let her boy-friend volunteer for tropical service. He'll be sorry. I'd rather die from bulletts than fever any day & he'll think the same someday. The women up here never look healthy and it wouldn't be wise for Lil to risk her health. I will try & send that lovely poem as soon as I can. Imagine the couple as you & I, sweetheart & just think how heavenly it will be. I'll leave you now with the most thrilling hopes in my heart & tenderest kisses
Your adoring fiance,
