Moreton Bay Bundle 28-1824 Sydney March 15th 1824 ~ Sir, Having been informed that you an about forming a new settlement at Moreton Bay I take the liberty of writing to request you would be kind enough to place me in some situation as a mechanic under Government - I have been always brought up in the building line and believe myself to be perfectly master of my Trade - but can get little employment although desirous of gaining an honest livelyhood trusting you will be kind enough to relieve me by gran[-] ting me some employment I have the great Honor to be Your most Obed. & very Humble Sevt James Kinton
