I have the honor to State for the information of his Excellency the Governor, that a large quantity of Salt Beef and Pork is now lying in the Magazine at Port Macquarie, and as the issue of them is Suspended by the Acceptance of Mr Allen's Tender of Fresh Beef, I would beg to recommend, that the "Governor Phillip" be permitted to call at that Settlement; and take Such quantity of both, as Dep. Ass't Com'y Gen'l Ackroyd can spare, without having the Station unprovided with that article, in the event of failure on the part of the Contractor.
