Bergalley by the Moorooya [sic] River
August 22'd - 1832
To the Magistrates at
Inverary
Gentlemen
I have to apollogize [sic] for the
delay of John Little's appearance at court, by
stating that a party of nefarious Blacks are
hovering about the Cattle run, who have killed
Cattle lately at all the adjoining stations, and
but for the good understanding which I
have invariably had with the friendly party
belonging to this place, would doubtless have
done mischief here - so that I am glad to detain
the Stockman, who should otherwise have brought
up the Cattle & have the honor to remain, Gentlemen
Yours Respectfully
