No.33/55 Sir I have the honor to inform you that the prisoner of the Crown named in the margin, a Runaway from Moreton Bay, was apprehended at this Settlement on the 27th ultimo, and to enclose a copy of the depositions taken

apprehended at that Settlement as a Runaway from Moreton Bay, and sentenced by the Petty Sessions 12 months to an Iron Gang for absconding. James Barlow "Speke" 7 yrs. Absconding from Moreton Bay. Second time of running.
[right side] George O'Niell Ticket of leave Special Constable having been sworn states, on Tuesday night 27t inst a little before eight o'clock, I went over to a fire on the North Shore where I saw the prisoner, whom I apprehended and brought to the Settlement. He states himself to be a Runaway from Moreton Bay. "Signed" George O'Neil
Sworn before us 29 August 1833 "Signed" Benj Sullivan J.P. N.H. Geary J.P.
The prisoner being asked what he had to say in his defence, replied "Nothing".
Guilty-Sentence to be worked in Irons for twelve calendar months, and to be returned to such Penal Settlement as His Excellency the Governor may think proper to direct. 'Signed" Benj. Sullivan J.P. W.H. Geary J.P.
