I never asked them to put up the pipe for
me but on the contrary they agreed to lend
me the necessary tools so I could do the
work with my own men, but they sent out
a man who in my absence put up the
pipe instead of doing their own part
of the work viz: enlarging the aperture
The amound I have allowed for putting
together less than 200 feet of 4" pipe is $20.00
I consider quite liberal.
The smoke stack and tinners bill is
outrageous. I could have built a brick
chimney for half the money.
