The Nursery stock has been taken.
The Nursery is now being divided into the seedling,
perrennial and wooded plant sections for greater
convenience of their care and system. While
the overcrowded stock will be planted out into
the newly cleared portions. The seedling
department has to be enlarged to accomodate
the large increase from the tree shrub & plant
seeds added this fall.

The hot beds are in progress of construction.
The green house is now stocked with its
collection of tender plants for winter propagation
for next years plantings in the Parks
[Gates?] a number of plants etc have been
received for exchanges:

The collection of indigenous plant shrubs
and the seeds made by the Superintendent
amount now to 116 different varieties of the
Puget Sound country, and cost him $145.70
not charged up to the eity of which he
offers to the City one half of the plants
raised therefore. It is intended and
hoped that this nucleus will be the ground
work for establishing in Seattle the Pacific
