To the hon. Mayor and
to the honorable city council of
Ballard Wash. We the following
signatures do petition your hon
orable body to give we people
owning cows a chance to live, as
well as those that do not own
such. Knowing that unless we
can get you to repeal the law
lately passed, pushing the boundary
of herd law back so far, many
will be obligated to sell their cows
which in many cases is over
half of their living. We ask
that they be allowed to herd any
where above Brig street and West of Ferry as no
grass amounting to any thing
grows in the timber above
